Hi my name is Rachel G and in May 2019 I almost died in a head-on collision. I had 23 broken bones and fractures shattering my foot and hip, breaking my back and pelvic to name a few others... repairing my hip was postponed 13 days while they waited to see if I would live. My foot was repaired immediately because of the bones coming out of the side. The muscle, tissue and nerve damage was severe. After 2 months in the hospital I was finally able to go home. I could not walk and the amount of pain I was in was extreme, but I was alive. I began physical therapy as soon as I could, I was referred to Advent health and believed my healing would truly begin. Boy was I wrong. Four months of torture is what happened next. Four months of being told I had to learn to walk through the pain to recover from the pain. Four months of no improvements. At every appointment I would walk regardless of how painful it was, regardless of how sick I felt or how many times I would throw up from the pain, every appointment I would push myself as much as I could because they insisted at Advent health that I had to walk through the pain to heal and I was determined to heal. My daughter and I are both patients here and it was a true blessing for us to come here. Mr Olorunfemi is very attentive and patient. He really makes you feel comfortable and he cares about truly helping you with whatever is wrong. My daughter is 11 years old she came to the clinic about 2 months ago she had a problem with her leg and she had pain in her knee and could not stand straight. After he worked with her for some time, she has no pain and now standing straight and able to walk longer periods of time. He is blessed.. "It's your posture that's causing your pain" he said. I looked at Raifu with a puzzled face "what my posture no I was told & the MRI showed pinched nerves at the root". So he stood me up before a mirror & showed me how one side was up the other down.

For the first time in my life I was stretched by a Physical Therapist. That is how my journey with Dr. O started. Having worked in the fields of exercise physiology, orthopaedics and rehab, I was interested to see how Dr. O would approach my pain problem. I was pleasantly surprised to experience his unique methods, that considered not just the site of the pain but how the body interacts as a whole. He not only relieved my pain from an old accident injury, but more importantly, helped me to understand how to exercise and stretch to prevent further pain and injury on a lifelong basis. In January of 2018 I injured my right shoulder during a mountain biking accident in Las Vegas. This resulted in me only being able to lift my arm up 40 degrees with severe pain. When I returned to Ocala the next week I sought medical treatment.

My physician ordered X-rays, MRI's and EMG's. I was also sent to a Orthopedic Surgeon as well as a Occupational Therapist and was finally seen by a Neurologist and diagnosed with right upper trunk brachial plexus injury.

I was referred to Raifu Olorunfemi, PT, MS at th Central Florida Therapist and Rehabilitation Group in April of 2018. By this time I had severe weakness and substantial muscle loss in my right arm, shoulder and back. When I met Therapist Olorunfemi he said right away that he could help me in my recovery.

I started receiving treatments twice a week. I'm now at a point in my recovery where I have regained full range of motion for my right arm. Additionally, I was able to rebuild muscle in my arm, shoulder and back. I believe that Therapist Olorunfemi's rehabilitation treatments were the sole reason for my physical improvement and recovery.

I received my last treatment from Therapist Olorunfemi a couple of weeks ago and have continued to regain my strength and muscle mass.

My nine year old daughter had an extensive surgery back in October of last year. She was diagnosed with flat foot- it was so bad where she was practically walking on her ankle. So they decided to fuse the ankle. She was immobilized for 5-6 months.

Just about 2 weeks ago she had the walking boot removed where she can actually feel normal again. She was actually able to walk. she is very unstable and has trouble balancing at this point so the doctor (Nemours Hospital) referred her to do physical therapy for roughly 4-5 months several times a week.

I looked long and hard for a good therapist to work with her and help her get to where she needs to be- I found Central Florida Therapist Rehabilitation Group here in Ocala. When I tell you it was an amazing experience - it was amazing!! My daughter was so comfortable. He literally did one stretch and her feet were leveled! I understood it wasn't permanent, that it was temporary but to see the difference was amazing. It almost had me in tears - the way he explained everything in detail and the knowledge he carries is mind blowing!

I have full trust in him that he is going to get my baby feeling wonderful and pain free! I'm so pleased with the customer service that was provided and the communication with the staff. I'm very happy I found them! I would most definitely recommend them to anyone I know that is having any issues whatsoever.

And the weird part is that was just an evaluation- therapy sessions haven't even started but that one 30 minute session made me feel comfortable and put me at ease that's where my daughter needs to be which is in the good hands of a very knowledgeable doctor and a wonderful pleasant staff. I would highly recommend them!
